Update: Attempted Murder Suspect In Custody

Eastland County Sheriff Wayne Bradford tells BCH that William Travis Butler was arrested just before 5 p.m. near Elm Cemetery. This is the same area where Butler is alleged to have dumped Deborah Partin this morning after stabbing her several times.

Afternoon Update:
The Eastland County Sheriff's Office has released the following details concerning the attempted murder that took place early Friday morning in Eastland County, and ongoing manhunt.
At around 9:30 Thursday morning, Deborah Krieger Partin, 58, waved down a motorist on County Road 375 in southern Eastland County after being left for dead. Partin, a resident of New Caney, Texas had been traveling with William Travis Butler after leaving his grandmother's house which was nearby. An apparent argument occurred and Butler slashed Partin's throat, stabbed her repeatedly and left her in a bar ditch on the side of the road. Butler came back, but Partin was able to hide herself by covering herself with leaves. Butler was last seen on CR 375 by Partin at approximately 7 a.m.Partin is currently listed in good condition.
A warrant has been issued for Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon with a suggested bond of $100,000. Butler is a white male, 35, five foot 10 inches tall with brown hair and eyes. Butler has numerous tattoos including a small teardrop under his left eye. Butler is also on Porole out of Montgomery County.

Law enforcement officers in and around Eastland County are searching for a man who may have been involved in an attempted murder Thursday morning.
35-year-old William Travis Butler is considered to be armed and dangerous, and has ties to the Aryan Brotherhood.
Butler was last seen around 7 a.m. Thursday on County Road 375, northeast of Rising Star.
Later Thursday morning, an injured woman was flown by helicopter from that same road. The Eastland County Sheriff's Office has not confirmed if the woman was connected to Butler.
The superintendent of Rising Star ISD confirmed that the schools were on lockdown this morning, but as of 1 p.m. the schools have returned to normal functions.
