The Wylie Bulldogs are the 5th ranked team in Class 3A and they already have a playoff berth in hand with a perfect district record.

Head coach Russell Perkins' team is winning games in District by an average of 34 points a game, so you might think they would let down every now and then, but they say they can't afford to do that, ever.

"Their competitive nature keeps us going. We're very competitive in practice. We've got 15 guys who get after each other and that really make us better, and they just like to show those things on Tuesdays and Fridays." says Perkins.

"I think practice is a big deal for us, we know that we are going to have the best people play against us everyday, and that's something we always go hard in." says Patrick Walker.

"Coach makes us work really hard, and that's really the key, you know, just going out and gunning for Austin. That's what we work for." adds Mike Lopez.

The guys can clinch the District outright Friday night with a win against Snyder. Game time is 7:30.
