That's right, a 6-man football player signed to play 11-man football in college, that is rare on the biggest day of the year for 11-man football players in the country. Farquhar, who is the 6-man player of the year for the 2-state champs, says he loves the fact that the Midwestern State coaches are giving him a chance.
Farquar said, "Reason I made that choice was because it felt like home. The coaches were amazing. They were real graceful. They brought me in and made me feel like part of the family. The coaching staff there is just amazing. There's no a more complete coaching staff that would bring a kid in, make him feel like he's part of the family already. It was a great opportunity to go and experience that."
Signing a Division II scholarship as a 6-man player isn't unprecedented, but it's rare.
