Four Hardin Simmons School Records Broken at OBU Invite

Men's Track
NORMAN, Okla. - Hardin-Simmons' men's track team had a stellar day at the Oklahoma Bison Invitational that was held at the University of Oklahoma in Norman as three athletes lowered the school records. 
 
Bradley Hutcheson set the school record in the 60 meters with a time of 7.14. Chad Caton ran a 9:25.36 in the 3000 and Derek Footer ran an 8.52 in the 60 meter hurdles. Footer placed sixth overall in the event.
 
Jose Bolanos ran a 7.68 in the 60 and Zeth Barron ran a 7.81. In the 200, Hutcheson ran a 23.23, Cedric Miller ran 23.80 and Barron ran a 25.56. Miller ran a 54.32 in the 400.
 
In the 880 Luke Wells ran a 2:12.48 and Paul Demings ran a 2:02.45. Caton ran a 4:36 in the mile and Tyson Denton posted a 5:05 in the mile. Chace Copp ran an 18:12 in the 5000.
 
Cody Parker placed second in the weight throw with a toss of 44 4 . 
 
The Cowboys are off until the Last Chance meet at Arkansas on March 1.
 
 
 
Women's Track
 
NORMAN, Okla. - Shanice Wright tied the school record with a 8.23 in the 60 meters to pace the Hardin-Simmons women's team at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational that was run at the University of Oklahoma.
 
Wright also ran a 27.46 in the 200. Martika Davis ran a 9.04 in the 60 and a 30.58 in the 200. Paige Goen ran a 30.69 in the 200 meters and Rachel Allen ran a 30.93. In the 60 hurdles, Allen and Goen ran identical 10.99s.
 
Lauren Rodgers ran a 1:02.79 in the 400 and Audrey Salter ran a 2:36.97 in the 880. The 4x400 team ran a 4:27. 
 
Kami Bellah had a high jump of 5-1 and a long jump of 16-6 . She finished third in the high jump.
 
Elissa Paniagua threw a 39-4 in the weight throw and Shannon Shipp had a toss of 36-10 .
 
The team is off until March 1 and the Last Chance Meet at Arkansas.
