"Well some guests they don't want to sleep in that room because they're afraid a clown might jump out at them or something," says Alice Dietly.
But she's far from afraid, clown collecting has become her favorite past time.
"Well I just started it because I like colors and I like clowns," says Dietly.
It took Mrs. Dietly about 45 years to get the collection she has right now. And in case you're wondering that 729 clowns.
"The most I've bought myself is 15 at the most," she explains.
The rest were all given to her by loved ones.
"This is the first one that my older boy David gave to me."
"A girl at work gave it to me. She has the bottom filled with some candy but the top is all bubblegum," says Dielty.
From musicals clowns... to pop up clowns....to giant clowns... Mrs. Dietly loves them all.
"Whatever they give me, I take. As long as it's a clown, I don't care," says Dietly.
The clowns however, do come at a high dusting cost.
"Takes me a good full day to do all those clowns in there. A full day," she says.
But it's a price she's willing to pay.
"I'll continue it as long as I live. I'm gonna continue collecting them. And they'll be handed down to my grand kids, or whoever wants them," says Dietly.
For now they rest comfortably in her house, waiting for the next guest to intimidate.
