Alexis Popelar Named ASC West Co-Player of the Week

Alexis Popelar was named ASC West Co-Player of the Week on Monday after her performance at Howard Payne over the weekend.

Between the Howard Payne match-up and, Sul Ross State game, Popelar averaged 24.5 pionts, 10 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.

Both of those games also happened to be road games for the Cowgirls.

Popelar has now scored in double figures in 28 straight games for the Cowgirls. Unfortunately for Hardin-Simmons, Popelar fouled out of the 86-85 overtime loss to Howard Payne on Saturday after racking up a double-double.

In all Popelar put 26 points on the board for the Cowgirls on Saturday. That's in addition to the 12 rebounds she gathered against the Yellow Jackets.
