Emergency responders were called to the scene of a 18-wheeler truck accident that had overturned on Tuesday morning about 5 miles east of Blanket on Highway 377.

The accident occurred at approximately 7:00 a.m., a few miles inside Comanche County. The truck had been traveling westbound when the vehicle rolled on its side and slid across the highway across the median, blocking the eastbound lanes. The road was wet at the time because of morning drizzle.

The trailer was reported to be carrying food products for McDonald's, according to officials on scene. The scene of the accident could not be cleared quickly because health department officials had to evaluate the food products before the semi could be moved.

According to law enforcement on scene, there were no injuries; however, an unknown amount of diesel fuel was reported to have spilled out of the wrecked semi.

An ambulance was sent to the scene from Comanche County as well as Comanche County Fire and Rescue. Law enforcement from Texas Department of Public Safety worked the scene of the accident.
