The Abilene High Lady Eagles playoff run is over for the 2012-2013 season after falling to El Paso Bel Air, 65-45.

The Lady Eagles hung tough in the 1st quarter and trailed by just 4 points, but Bel Air pull away in the 2nd quarter to take a 32-20 lead at halftime. That lead was as big as 20 in the 2nd quarter.

It didn't get much closer in the 2nd half. The District 1-5A Bel Air girls used their well known fast break offense to pull away in the 2nd half.

Abilene High head coach Laura Lange said, "I am proud of the kids. I am proud of the effort they put out tonight.  We didn't stop. We didn't quit. We fought to the very end, and that's one thing we have done from the beginning of the year to our last game tonight. So, I am really proud of the way they played all year long."

Abilene High finishes the year with a final record of 21-11.
