APD: Police Called after Girlfriend Bites, Attacks Boyfriend

Thursday morning at about 10:25, Officer Jeremy Holmes responded to a criminal trespass call in-progress at a residence in the 2500 block of Russell Avenue. APD dispatch received notification from a man that stated there were two male subjects inside a home that was supposed to be vacant and the men were refusing to leave. Officer Holmes contacted one of the subjects that had left the residence and was located at the area of North 3 and Burger Streets. A records check confirmed that the subject had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest out of Callahan County. The preliminary investigation revealed that it appeared that several persons had been residing inside the vacant home and that no signs of forced entry were detected. No other arrests were made in conjunction with this incident. The male subject was arrested for the felony Theft warrant.

Thursday afternoon at about 5:55, Officer Brandon Scott responded to a suspicious person call in the 3500 block of North 11 Street. APD dispatch received a call from a concerned citizen about a male subject going door-to-door asking for money. Officer Scott contacted the subject and a records check confirmed that the subject had seven outstanding municipal arrest warrants. Offenses related to the warrants involved disorderly conduct, traffic violations and others. The subject was arrested on those warrants with fines totaling $2,286.

Thursday evening at about 6:45, Officer Daniel Henning responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the 700 block of Palm Street. APD dispatch received notification from a male victim who stated he had been assaulted by his girlfriend. Officers arrived and contacted the involved parties. The preliminary investigation revealed that the male victim had been physically assaulted. The victim told officers that the female suspect had struck him in the head and bit him on his arm. There were two witnesses to the offense. Injuries consistent with bite marks to the victim's face and arm were observed. The victim refused medical treatment. The female suspect was arrested for misdemeanor Assault Family Violence.
