"I've been accepted here at HSU. And I'm very excited about the possibility of being here," says Josh Faseler.

Josh is not sure if HSU will be his future home, but he is certain of what's important to him.

"I cant just go to any university. I have to have them care about ministry or intentionally training people to be missionaries or pastors," says Faseler.

It's a major decision that he isn't taking lightly.

"It's challenging but it's rewarding. It's very rewarding. And it's necessary," he explains.

Although necessary, for some students, it isn't always easy.

"I'm kind of nervous about leaving my family, like my mommy and daddy, not having them by my side any more but it's time to grow up," says Amanda Carlough.

Her departure to school will also put her parents in unfamiliar territory.

"It's the third one. So it's bittersweet. She needs to go and grow so we're getting prepared to let her go and that leaves our nest empty," says Laurie Carlough.

But she still plans on being actively involved in her child's life.

"We're looking for the university that makes it feel like home where we can be involved as parents through that 4-year education and her continued athletic experience," says Carlough.

Soccer plays the biggest factor in this family's college decision and the Hardin Simmons soccer program is at the top of their list.

"They win the National NCAA Division Three every year for like the past 10 years," says Carlough.

Her athletic ability only adds to the need column and right now it all seems to be piling up.

"It really stresses me out and adds a lot of stress to my life. But when life gives you lemons, gotta make lemonade," says Carlough.
