Abilene Rain Totals for February 21

There was a pretty big range in the rain-fall totals around the city Thursday morning.

The Abilene Fire Department reports that the biggest total was at fire station number five in north-east Abilene. More than three-quarters of an inch of rain was measured there.

Fire station number three in south Abilene measured almost six-tenths of an inch of rain.

A half-inch of rain fell this morning at fire station number eight on Buffalo Gap Road in south Abilene.

Slightly less than a half-inch of rain fell in downtown Abilene at the central fire station.

Only nineteen one-hundreds of an inch of rain was in the rain guage at fire stattion number six near South 14 and the Winters Freeway.

The fire departmet measure the rain at all eight fire stations for every shower or thunderstorm.
