Wylie Schools Considering Security Changes

By: BCH News Staff
Updated: February 22, 2013
Wylie schools may be seeing an increase in on-campus security in the near future.

Wylie administration, along with several members of the community, are in the "discussion stage" about the next steps to take.

Some of the options on the table include restricting points of access on the campus buildings, as well as bringing armed security guards to the schools.

Wylie Superintendent Joey Light spoke Friday about their plans.

There is no solid timeline as to when these changes would occur, but those involved in the decision-making say the changes would impact every school in the district.
