KRBC News has obtained a copy of police dash camera video from an incident that happened at the Breckenridge Golf Course last November that involved - then Sheriff-Elect Billy Wade.

A female Breckenridge Police Officer called for help because she was in an altercation with Wade at the golf course.

The video we obtained through a freedom of information request shows the perspective of the officer that was responding to help.

You can clearly see in the video, as a responding officer arrived on the scene, a female officer wrestling with a man identified as Billy Wade. The arriving officer took immediate action.

So far the Breckenridge Police Department, the Stephens County District Attorney, the Texas Rangers and the Attorney General's office say they investigated and that there is nothing to indicate that a crime was committed or that anyone needs to face charges as a result of the incident.

On Friday, the Breckenridge Police Chief told us, there is only one person who acted improperly that night and he is no longer an employee of the department.

Comments

Unfortunately the Police Chief isn't an elected official but definitely needs to be replaced as well.

I'm sure it's personal,he had a wife and family when he pursued that female officer,Shame on him and the City of Breckenridge for not treating this like any other attack on a female...the video showed the assault regardless if she pressed charges or not,If it had been a citizen I guarantee there would have been an arrest

The voters also should also step up and stop being afraid to take charge of these issues.

oh my,the reason he was there is because they had been dating and she had called it off..I can't believe that Breckenridge has allowed an officer to be attacked and no one was taken responsibility. Wade claimed he was career was over and that was by his own doing and actions...pitiful sight caught on video...He and the Chief and Commisioners need to go...!Maybe this video will force this town to step up and do the right thing
