The Lady Jackets took the lead into the locker-room at halftime, but saw it quickly dissipate in the second half.
The Comets of UT-Dallas built a seven point lead before Howard Payne came storming back. First it was a three-pointer by Breanna Conway to cut the Comet lead down to just four.
Then a short time later McKinnley Meyer hit a jumpshot from the top of the key to tie the game at 45.
Another jumper by McKinnley, a three-pointer this time, would give the Lady Jackets a 50-47 advantage.
That would be short lived when UT-Dallas' Kellie Loukanis hit one of her five three-pointers to tie the game again.
Then the Comets would build a sizable advantage after taking the lead on a Kimmie Grimes bucket in the paint.
In the end there wouldn't be enough time for the Lady Jackets to make another comeback as they fell to UT-Dallas 60-54 at Brownwood Coliseum.
