For the third time in a month, an Abilene mother whose baby was found to have meth in his system has been arrested.

Lacey Nicole Spykes was arrested first at the beginning of February when her 13-month-old baby was taken to Hendrick with head injuries and found to have meth in his system. She was charged with injury to a child.

She then bailed out of jail and was arrested again on February 21 on an old meth charge from 2011.

Now she is back in jail arrested Tuesday on two traffic tickets.

Her boyfriend has also been charged with injury to a child and both admitted to using meth while the 13-month-old was in Spykes's south Abilene home.

Police are still investigating that case.
