The Highland Lady Hornets are making their 1st trip to Austin.

They were the only unranked team in the regional tournament and came out with the regional title. On Friday, the challenge takes another step up. They face #1 ranked Saltillo, but the thought of playing the top ranked team in the state doesn't phase the Lady Hornets.

"Everybody down to this point has earned the trip, and it's any of the four peoples opportunity to go win a State Championship," Says Head Coach Shea Baucom.

"It can easily get to us, but we know that we definitely can beat them. I mean, ranking, we're not even ranked, the ranking is nothing to us, at all," adds Sophomore Kaylee Martin.

"I think that's what we've tried to focus on more than anything throughout the season is just play together and play hard and have fun, and good things are going to happen," continues Baucom.

That game is coming up in 43 hours. The Lady Hornets and Saltillo Lady Lions play down in Austin on Friday at 1:30. The winner plays in the state championship game on Saturday at 7.
