Stamford Advances With Rout Over Trenton

The Stamford Bulldogs are a step closer to the boys state basketball tournament after a resounding victory over Trenton.
The Bulldogs got off to a fast start thanks to a jump shot by James Washington to give Stamford a seven point lead.
Trenton would answer with a three-point basket a short time later to cut the Stamford advantage down to two points.
That would be about as close as the Tigers would get though. A jump shot by Noe Contreras would just be the start of a 80-31 victory for Stamford.
They will take on Triple-A Academy in the regional finals at Moody Coliseum at noon on Saturday.
