For the first time in what seems like months, the Wylie Bulldogs found themselves paired against a higher ranked opponents. That would be Kennedale.
By the second quarter the Bulldogs had established the lead, and Duane Hopper extended it with a three-pointer.
Kennedale would hang around though with a basket that cut the Bulldog lead down to just three points.
Wylie, and Hopper would respond with a lay-up to extend the Bulldog lead out to nine.
In the end the Bulldogs would hold on for a 64-55 victory and will take on Wichita Falls Hirschi at 8:00 p.m. Saturday night with a bid to Austin on the line.
