In the first half the Bulldogs were able to hang with the Stallions. In the second quarter they were able to tie the game after a transition lay-up by Gus West.
The Stallions would regain the lead, and stretch it out to twelve point advantage. In the second half, Triple A would quickly extend that lead to 16.
The Bulldogs would quickly bite back in the third quarter. First it was a three-pointer by Hagen Hutchinson. Then following a Hutchinson steal, Noe Contreras was able to cut the Stallion lead to 11 with a lay-up.
That would be as close as Stamford would get to Triple-A. The Stallions would eventually gallop away with a 87-61 win and advance to the Boys State Tournament in Austin.
