Trial Delayed for Dyess Airman Involved in Klapheke Case

Perez is the 7th Bomb Wing Office of Public Affairs released the following statement late Monday afternoon:
Dyess Air Force Base, Texas - The general court-martial for Senior Airman Christopher Perez, 7th Security Forces Squadron, scheduled for March 5, 2013 at Dyess Air Force Base, has been delayed.
Perez is charged with Dereliction of Duty, a violation of Article 92 of the Uniformed Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), and Child Endangerment and Adultery, violations of UCMJ Article 134.
Col. Donald Eller, military judge, assigned to the Central Region of the Air Force Trial Judiciary at Randolph AFB, Texas, who will preside over the general court-martial, granted a continuance to allow additional forensic analysis of electronic media.
A date for the court-martial has not been rescheduled.
Perez will be arraigned tomorrow via video teleconference with the judge. More information will be released as it becomes available.
