AYSA Introduces Brand New Youth Volleyball Skills Academy

The Abilene Youth Sports Authority (AYSA) is conducting the first in a series of sports skills academies in 2013 for area youth grades 4-6, starting with a Volleyball Skills Academy on March 19.

The AYSA Firm Foundation Volleyball Academy will be conducted on Tuesday nights from 6:00pm-7:30pm at Craig Middle School, and runs from March 19 - April 23.

Players of all skill levels will enjoy the fun and fast-paced sessions, learning and strengthening the fundamental skills and attitudes that will make them better players and better teammates.

Sabrina Bingham, HSU Head Volleyball Coach is the Lead Instructor for the Volleyball Academy. Assistant academy instructors include volleyball players from the local universities.

The cost for the six-week academy is $65.

Additional Firm Foundation Academies will be conducted for basketball and soccer later in the year.
