The ACU Women left for the Lone Star Conference tournament on Tuesday.

The Wildcats open the tournament as the #2 seed and play 7th seeded Texas A&M/Commerce in the opener.

Head coach Julie Goodenough's team wants an LSC Tournament title, and they can't get it done with winning the 1st game.

"We're trying to take it one game at a time, and not look at big picture and what would happen Friday, what would happen Saturday. Really our focus is on Commerce. I think that our players have to take practices really seriously leading up to that game. They are by far the best offensive rebounding team in the conference and thats how they score a lot of points, so our practices will really revolve around rebounding, finishing defensive posessions with rebounds. But I'm just excited for the preparation for the tournament and getting ready to play commerce for the third time." Says Head Coach Julie Goodenough.

ACU and Texas A&M/Commerce open the tournament on Wednesday at noon in Allen. The Wildcats finished the regular season by winning 6 of their last 7 games.
