A Perfect Time to Donate to Meals on Wheels

Monetary donations given to Meals on Wheels will be matched not once, but twice!
The Alan Feinstein Foundation of Rhode Island and the Anderson Foundation of Austin are both holding donation match programs at the same time.
That means any donation you make to the Groceries on Wheels program will be tripled in the long run, helping people in need in the Abilene area.
"This is a really good time of year to make a donation to Meals on Wheels because whatever you give can be maximized," says Executive Director Betty Bradley. "So if you give a donation to Meals on Wheels in March or April, it'll be matched twice."
Money is not the only thing you can donate to Meals on Wheels. You can also donate your time.
Next week with volunteers leaving town for Spring Break the need for drivers is high.
"Volunteers often just deliver one day a week," says Bradley. "Spring Break is coming up and we're going to be losing all our university students cause they're going home for Spring Break and some of our regular volunteers are taking a couple of days off to do something neat."
If you would like to help Meals on Wheels with your time or money, call 325-672-5050 or go by their offices at 717 North 10 street in Abilene.
