Bangs' Future Baseball Fields

By: Liz Gonzales
Updated: March 8, 2013
These fields, in their present condition, will not be around too much longer.

Plans have been nearly finalized to transform them into a must-see destination for the city of Bangs.

The project has been divided into three separate phases and every detail has been considered.

There will be three baseball fields, each a different size to cater to all ages and levels.

An irrigation pond will be developed that holds one million gallons of recycled water, ensuring that even in the dry, hot summer months, water is easily available.

In addition to the fields, playground and water park, a large area will be left vacant with the hopes for a picnic area down the road.

"Well this is something that the city has needed for a long time. The kids need it, they're going to enjoy it. This a multi-complex facility that everybody can enjoy," says Bang City Administrator Leo Smith.

A walk way will also be created, surrounding the fields, and will feature exercise stations along the way. The hope is to keep everyone, not just children, entertained.
