Cooper found themselves in a jam in the first inning against Rider. Pitcher Johnathan Nicholson was able to get out of it after Landon Geisinger popped out to the shortstop.
The Cougars would threaten in the bottom of the first when Nicholson came to the plate with the bases loaded. He was unable to drive home any runs, and the game remained tied 0-0.
Rider would quickly change that.
In the second inning a grounder by Jordan McQuerrey found it's way into the outfield, and would score Austin Hagy for the games first run.
In the bottom of the second, the Cougars would once again threaten with runners on the corners. This time David Ruot would ground into an inning ending 6-4-3 double play.
By the end of the game Rider would touch the plate 13 more times, and go on to win 14-2.
Cooper will wrap up the AISD Baseball Tournament at 1:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon against Aledo.
