The Bearcats struck first in the bottom of the first inning with a hit by Luke Glover to put two runs on the board. Two more Aledo runners would cross the plate before the end of the first.
Then the Cougars were able to get on the board with a base hit by Jonathan Nicholson. That would cut the Bearcat lead down to three, but a double play with the bases loaded would end the Cooper threat.
In the second inning Aledo once again put more runs on the board. With a big hit by Connor Duer, the Bearcats brought home two more runs, and four by the end of the second.
Aledo would only put one more run on the board, but the game was eventually called because of the time limit. The Cougars would eventually fall 9-3 at Cooper Cougar Field.
