Play Faire Park to Reopen for Its 66th Season

Play Faire Park will reopen on Monday, March 11 for its 66th "Season of Fun" coinciding with local Spring Break holidays.

After successfully celebrating its 65th Season in Abilene last year, owner Chris England promises this season will be even bigger and better. The Park's first big event will be on March 23 with a showing of "Derby Baby" sponsored by the Abilene Derby Dames, and featuring a demonstration of roller derby and meet and greet by the team.

There will be an encore screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show complete with a live "shadow cast" in May, as well as other special events to be announced later in the season.

Play Faire Park will continue to offer its Music in the Park Series with live music each weekend, miniature golf tournaments once a month and their popular tie-dye clinics.

Play Faire Park is located on 2300 North 2 Street in Abilene and will be open all week for Spring Break, Monday, March 11 through Thursday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 17 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Park will return to regular school time hours on Tuesday, March 19, Tuesdays-Thursdays 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
