Hundreds of kids are getting active for Spring Break this week.

Players in Progress, or PIP, is filling up the ACU campus to teach kids grades kindergarten through sixth grade the fundamentals of basketball and teamwork.

Some of the coaches are students who have already gone through the program, referred to as "old timers" at the ripe old age of fifteen. We spoke with an event organizer about all the excitement that kicked off Friday.

"The goal for the kids is to first of all have a lot of fun," Says PIP coach Paula Singleton. "but to also show off their PIP skills, or basketball skills they learned at their schools, many starting in kindergarten."

The basketball fun continues through Saturday evening, wrapping up with a performance from the anticipated 300 players at 1 p.m. on the ACU campus at Moody Coliseum.
