After missing a record high but just three degrees Friday, Abilene is forecast to tie or break a record high on Saturday.  I'm forecasting a high of 92, which would be one degree hotter than the 105 year old record of 91.  A cold front moves through the area on Saturday night so temperatures on Sunday will cool into the middle 70's, same for Monday.  Another front Monday will keep temps steady before they begin inching toward 80 by next Wednesday.  There is no rain in the forecast for the next seven days.  Enjoy the weekend warmth, but be safe in the heat and wear the sunscreen.  If forecast guidance is accurate, next weekend could turn colder again.
