Reminder: Keep Abilene Beautiful Organizes 'Trash-Off' for April 6

By: BCH News Staff
Updated: April 5, 2013
We've all heard the slogan, "don't mess with Texas," but if you see all of the litter around town, you know not everyone's taking that to heart.

That's why "Keep Abilene Beautiful" is holding it's annual "trash-off" on April 6 as part of a statewide cleanup day.

While organizers agree that one day might not make the most noticeable difference, tthey say it's a step in the right direction..

Last year, more than 300 volunteers turned up to pick up trash around town and organizers are hoping to top that number this year.

You can sign up on KeepAbileneBeautiful.org.

The cleanup day is Saturday, April 6 at 8 in the morning.

Volunteers will meet at the K-Mart parking lot before being sent off to different areas.

It needs to be changed to "Make Abilene Beautiful". It's far from it
