Political Slander. There has been plenty of it throughout the Presidential election.

Some think the rumors may have gone too far. Both Presidential candidates have been a victim to rumors.

The question at hand is, will Obama rumors of him being a Muslim sway undecided voters on election day?

"Since these rumors have been around a long time, those people have likely already processed them. And if they're still undecided that means the rumors don't have that much credibility," Dr. Paul Fabrizio at McMurry University.

A recent University of Texas poll found that 23% of Texas voters do think that Obama is Muslim.

"Because of his name for one reason. It's a very strange name to be the President of the United States," Claire Zeigler, Abilene resident.

"I believe there's some truth to it. You have to have some basis," Kurt Fowler, Abilene resident.

"I don't believe any of it. I think he's a good candidate and I hope he's voted in as President," Fred Chandler, Abilene resident.

Many people have difficulty sifting through rumors to actually finding out the facts. With the internet, being where most people get their information, FACTCHECK.org is a reliable website to find determine political facts.
