You ever tried to get a nail started and it is slightly out of your reach and you don’t have anything to step up on? Well here’s a quick tip the carpenters use.

Take your nail  and put it in the claw of your hammer so that the head of the nail rests on the base of the hammer and the end is wedged in the claw. Then just turn it around backwards and give it a quick swing, now turn your hammer around and just nail it in.
