Here are a few steps for keeping your grill working safely and ready to fire up anytime.

CLEANING
•    Take out the cooking grid, the firebricks or lava rocks and the burner.
•    Scrub the firebox clean with a stiff wire brush. (It's important to remove any debris that could erupt in a bigger fire than you want or cause a spontaneous combustion later on.)
•    Clean the cooking grid with a wire brush.
•    Gently clean the burner fittings with a toothbrush.
•    Clean the insides of the tubing connections with a bottle brush.
•    Flush out the burner with a garden hose.

AFTER CLEANING
•    Turn on the gas and brush soapy water on the tank valve, the regulator and all the tubing connections.
•    If bubbles start popping up, you’ve found a connection with a leak. So, tighten it up and test it again.
•    If tightening doesn’t stop the leak, you’ll need to replace the part before you can get back to grilling safely again.
Reassemble and let dry thoroughly. Then, happy grilling!
