Stealing Money from Youth Football

By: Laura Kellerman
Updated: December 15, 2008
Two women were arrested Monday morning for allegedly stealing money from the Big Country Youth Football Association.

Melissa Magruder and Angie Jonas were officers on the Jet's board of directors.

Investigators say the women stole money from the Jet's operating account.

Team members had to do extra fund raising during the season for expenses, including electricity for the field lights and paying the referees.

A grand jury indicted the women earlier.  The indictments were sealed until the arrests were made this morning.
