Microsoft has released a patch for Internet Explorer in order to fix a high-level security breach which is being classified as a Java-script vulnerability. This affects both Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8 Beta.
If a user comes upon a hacked website, even if the website itself is legitimate, they may be redirected to an infected site and their computer will proceed to silently download malware to the users computer.
Microsoft states that as many as 1 in 500 users may have already been infected
by the malware, and all users should download the update immediately to avoid severe damage to their hardware.
