AbileneSome new wayfinding signs are coming to town, what exactly they will say remains a mystery.

The Abilene Frontiering brand logo is a hot topic once again.

New signs are on their way into town, aimed towards directing tourists to our local attractions in town.

The messages that will be printed across these signs is still up in the air.

"As far as I'm concerned, I think Wayfinding signage is directional signs. I think if we put too much on the signs, it may distract from the actual direction," Councilman Joe Spano said.

City Council is about to share their opinions what should or should not be on the new signs.

"No additional colors or prints on there that do not need to be there in order to be able to point people to those destinations we'd like them to see," Councilman Stormy Higgins said.

"I'm anxious to see what everybody else thinks about it," Joe Spano added.

Many others in the community are also anxious as to what decision will be made after investing money in a branding committee.

"My personal view on what should be on those signs is a very clean sign. While I can support a little bit of a decorative style in the metal work or material of the sign; I am not in favor of anything else on the sign except for the destinations.

There are 25 signs expected to pop up around town, but when they be going up and what they will say may determined at tomorrow's City Council meeting.
