Omniflight has been receiving an average of one call a day, creating a need for a faster, better equipped aircraft.  The new helicopter is can fly about 36 miles an hour faster.  It also has enough room to carry more medical equipment, as well as a paramedic and nurse to ride with each patient to the hospital.
