Richardson Family Still Mourning

It's been almost a month since the Richardson family lost Mike.

"His smile is what we miss so much, because everybody keeps saying, 'his smile!'," said Mike's mother, Connie Jackson.

On November 29th, Mike was shot and killed by a Breckenridge Police officer.

In the days that followed, his family and friends demanded an investigation.

Mike's uncle, Jim Jackson, decided that tonight, a meeting would be held to fill the public in on the investigation.

"We're going to get down to the facts, the opinions that we may have are opinions now, but we will be down to the facts," Jim said.

While support from the Breckenridge community is helping the family tremendously, time has not healed any of their heartache.

"There isn't anybody that we hate," said Michelle Richardson, Mike's former wife. "We just want justice for Mike, because Mike is going to be missed a lot everyday."

And Connie said they want closure.

"We want this to be a good community, it needs improving," Connie said.

The Texas Rangers were called into investigate the shooting the morning after it happened, and witnesses have since disputed the police's story.

If you have any facts about the Mike Richardson case, you can contact the Texas Rangers. Your tip would be anonymous.
