Tuesday 9am Update:
Investigators say someone broke into Bonham Elementary School last night, spray painted the inside of the gym, set a fire and sprayed several fire extinguishers.

Construction workers first spotted the thick smoke billowing from the gym when they arrived at the school at 7:15 Tuesday morning.

Fire fighters arrived to find a broken window, graffiti, and what they called a "relatively small fire."  Once the heavy smoke cleared, they discovered the used fire extinguishers and other signs of vandalism.

The investigation is still in its early stages.

Bonham Elementary is undergoing construction and is vacant for the 2008-2009 school year.
