The American Wind Energy Association says 2008 will mark the third straight record year of accomplishments for the wind power industry in the country. One of the largest achievements this year was the United States becoming the world leader in wind power production.

Other advancements included a report by the department of energy that predicts wind energy will provide 20% of our power by 2030. Also more jobs were created due to construction of more wind farms like those here in the Big Country.
