Wind Energy Company Coming to Town

A wind energy company is coming to Abilene. The DCOA just approved the company, known as Project BG this morning.

The company has a small presence but is worldwide with offices in Houston, Australia, and England.

They are currently headquarted out of Houston, but are likely relocating their headquarters to Abilene.

The company specializes in wind power, engine power, and gas systems.

The company was formed in 2002.

Project BG employs 150 people.

By bringing this wind energy company to Abilene, the DCOA says that it will create eighty well-paying jobs.

Project BG is expected to bring in a $1.4 million investment to the City of Abilene.
