Mayor Norm Archibald wants residents to be part of a city-wide beautification project. In addition to the organization, Keep Abilene Beautiful, the Mayor wants to give residents of Abilene the opportunity to share what they like and dislike about Abilenes physical appearance.
The City will be giving out disposable cameras sometime after the New Year, for people to take pictures on one camera of the things that they like and on another of things that they do not like.
Mayor Norm Archibald hopes to collect the photographs shortly after the New Year as well and wants to put them on display at City Hall.
Following that, the Mayor hopes to put plans in motion to enhance those parts of Abilene that may not be aesthetically pleasing.
While most think Abilene is a beautiful place to live, those that have dislikes about certain locations can now have the opportunity to share them and hopefully see some positive changes in the future.
