Abilene's newest resident is the first one in her family to be born in America. She was born at 1:34am weighing just 6lbs and 12oz.

Adeline is the ninth child born to Marcelina Bangirinama, who moved to the U.S. with her family less than a year ago to work. Adeline's mother and sibilings are all from Tanzania, which is on the east coast of Africa.

Adeline's oldest sister, Gloriose, speaks enough english that she was able to communicate with hospital staff, both during and after the delivery.

Even though she is the youngest of nine children, Adeline and her mother share a special bond. The two share the same birthday!
