Its something you dont except to find in Texas, in fact Abilenes Ice House is the only outdoor ice skating rink in West Texas.
Gordon Storey, the founder and director of the Dyess We Care Team, which is one of the host of the Ice House says that people are coming all the way from Dallas. Even though they have a skating rink, its inside at the mall and they want to try skating outside.
Almost everyone on the ice rink is a beginner, but whether its your first time or youve been skating your whole life, everyone has a great time at the Ice House.
If you havent made it to the rink yet, or if you just want to go around once more you better hurry to the Ice House because its last day is Monday January 5th.
