It's the convention that opens the door to the future of home technology.

The Consumer Electronics Show opened Thursday in Las Vegas with cutting-edge products on display.

The latest, the greatest, the fastest, the thinnest;  they're unwrapping the future in Las Vegas this week.

There's just about everything you can imagine here and some you probably can't.

Like special motion interface controlling a flat screen and the video literally with the palm of your hand.

Creative's new sound blaster fits in the palm of your hand but expands your audio to any and every room in the house with no wires and unprecedented quality.

"Extreme fidelity on the fly makes that audio sound better, better than it did," said Chris Harmon of Creative.

There are a few TV’s here including the Oled's from Sony that are about the width of a credit card.

Small is big this year.

This micro-projector is the first with a 90-degree hinge.

And its 64 gig flash drive has enough space to back-up your home computer, store important data, or pictures and it's rubberized, virtually indestructible.

Green is good to go...

Asus engineers have developed laptops using natural products including bamboo.

So what will the think of next?

You can probably find it somewhere at the Consumer Electronics Show.

80,000 people are expected to pour through the packed halls at convention center over the next few days.
