Fire crews from the Potosi and Buffalo Gap Volunteer Fire Departments worked quickly to control a grass-fire that burned nearly 20 acres of land in Potosi.

The fire can be scene up to 15 miles away, and there were no injuries.
The fire came within about 100 yards from a house, but the only damage from the fire was to some farm equipment.

The cause is still undetermined, although County Commissioner, Chuck Statler wish to remind everyone that Taylor County is still under a burn ban, and with these dry conditions a small fire can spread quickly.
