A Triathalon for Anyone

By: Laura Kellerman
Updated: January 12, 2009
The Joseph Thomas Foundation is hosting a second annual triathalon Feb. 7, made up of three grueling events: miniature golf, bowling and skee ball.

Last year's triathalon brought in $5,000.

"This year we're hoping for about $7,500," said John Thomas, the father of Joseph Thomas who died in 2007.

The foundation raises money for families of children with special needs, to help purchase medical equipment and other medical needs.

The free event will be held at Prime Time Entertainment from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and registration is open to anyone, regardless of age or physical ability.  Participants can bid on 17 silent auction items.  The winners will be announced at 12:30 p.m.
