Want to keep from getting a winter cold?

Researchers studied 153 men and women.

All filled out surveys detailing their sleep history, then they were injected with the common cold.

For five days they reported any cold symptoms they had.

Researchers found participants who got less than seven hours of sleep a night were three times more likely to develop respiratory illness.

Experts say a lack of sleep interferes with the body's immune response, therefore it may make it easier to get sick.

Busy schedules and hectic lifestyles are making it difficult for some people to eat healthy.

In a study of about 16,000 young adults, most said it's important to break bread with others, but many often didn't have time to sit down and enjoy a meal.

42 percent of women and just over a third of men surveyed said they regularly have to eat on the run.

That kind of eating habit tended to include more fast food, more soft drinks, and more saturated and total fat.

Researchers say making time to dine with others often meant more fruit and vegetables were part of the meal.
