Updated: January 12, 2009
Although the state legislative session doesnt begin until Tuesday, there was plenty going on at the Capitol building today.

State representatives are preparing for tomorrow’s opening legislative session beginning at noon.

State Representative Susan King previewed some of her big issues that will affect us in the Abilene community.

While Representative King feels that our education system is the key, needed to secure the future…she also has plans to focus on Abilene’s future water supply.

Other big issues that Abilene residents will care about will be the wind energy business that continues to grow in our community. With gas and oil on everyone’s mind, Representative Susan King also has it on hers for the City of Abilene.

Tomorrow’s only the beginning of the legislative session. It’ll go on for 140 days after that.
