Texas RainThe Catholic Diocese of San Angelo is sending out a plea for rain.

It is no secret that the state of Texas is in desperate need of some extra moisture, especially West Texas; therefore, Bishop Michael Pfeifer, OMI, of the San Angelo Diocese has sent requests to the mayors of all the major cities covered in the Diocese's 29 counties.

Pfeifer requests that Sunday, February 8th be designated as the "Day of Prayer for Rain" in all of the centers of worship throughout the counties.

Pfeifer is encouraging all believers to begin prayer immediately as February 8th approaches.

“We are told by Christ that if we ask our Heavenly Father for any good thing in Christ’s name, that we will receive it,” Pfeifer stated.

“The precious gift of rain is so much needed to provide water for people, for animals, for all of nature, and to reduce the danger of fires.”
